The Sims Cheats!
Here are cheat codes for the sims. To type a code in the game first type Ctrl+Shift+C. After that a small grey text box will appear in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Then type the code you want and hit Enter.

The Sims PC
To get the cheats to work type CTRL+SHIFT+C then type them in. Note that some cheats do NOT work with all expansions packs!
rosebud
Replaces klapaucius if you have the Sims Updater or Livin' Large installed.
klapaucius
Gives you 1000 Simoleons.
Repeats the last entered cheat (For example, typing !;!;! enough times to fill the text box will give you the cheat 30 times = 30,000 Simoleons).
genable_objects off
to make all the objects invisible (Hot Date Only).
set_hour
(Values 1-24).
sim_speed
(Values -1000 - +1000).
water_tool
enables the water tool.
grow_grass
(VALUES 0-150).
interests
Views selected Sims personalitys that aren`t listed in the menu.
autonomy (Values 0-100)
How much the Sims think on their own.
route_balloons on
Self explainitory.
route_balloons off
Self explainitory.
sweep
Shows the "ticks" in the game (Values on/off).
draw_all_frames
Self explanitory.
tile_info
Self explanitory.
map_edit on
Self explainitory.
map_edit off
Self explainitory.
bubble_tweak [z offset]
Sets the z value used to offset the sims' thought bubbles.
draw_all_frames
Draw all animation frames, without skipping to keep up.
draw_floorable
Turn the floorable grid on and off.
draw_routes [on|off]
Draw colored dots on selected person's path.
edit_grass [increment]
Turn on mode for editing grass tiles. Increment sets number value by which to change the grass history - Writes out the family history of the current family. If file is not specified, the default is used.
log_mask [mask]
Sets the event logging mask.
move_objects on
Turn on or off allowing the user to move any object.
prepare_lot
Checks for required objects on the current lot and deletes come and see me objects.
preview_anims
Turns on/off animation preview mode.
rotation [0|1|2|3]
Set absolute world rotation.
route_balloons
Turn on or off the display of routing debug balloons.
sim_log [begin|end]
Start and stop the sim log.

The Sims Macintosh
To type a code in the game first type Shift + Option(apple) + C. After that a small grey text box will appear in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Then type the code you want and hit Enter.
Rosebud This will give you §1000. For even more money type rosebud and hit enter, then reopen the cheat window and type !;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;! and hit enter. Wow look at all the money now.
Move_objects on Type move_objects on in the code box and it will allow you to move any objects, including your sims, items in use, and item outside your property. Be careful with what you delete or move because some items you can'buy back, like your mailbox and trash can. To turn this off just type in Move_objects off.
show_zones on With Unleashed, you can type show_zones on in the code box and the game will turn on the zoning outlines around lots so you cen see the 2 diffrent lot types easyly. To turn this off just type in show_zones off and they will go back to normal.
Interests Type this code followed while selecting a family member and you can see a brake-down of their likes and dislikes. This tells you what conversations they will enjoy, or not enjoy. Also see if your sims like the same things. This even works on pets.
Edit_Grass Type this code followed with a number from -150 to 150. Then, click on any grass and that spot will be adjusted to the number value. Using Edit_Grass -150 will kill the grass as you paint, but Edit_Grass 150 will make it nice and green. Use Edit_Grass 0 to exit this mode. This code is not avalible with Hot Date or Vacation, but can be used in any other of the games.
Water_Tool Type once to turn it on, again to turn it off. You need to be in Build mode to use this. This code allows you to create water on you property, for loves or streams. This code is not avalible with Hot Date or Vacation, but can be used in any other of the games. To remove water hold Ctrl when drawing water.
Auto_level Architecture tools automatically set the level (floor) as needed when building. So you don't need to switch back and forth between 1st and 2nd story.
prepare_lot Check and fix required lot objects. This can help your game run faster and make objects work better and not have to deal with "broken" items while playing.
map_edit on Opens map editior which allows you to deside which tiles are part of your property and you can build on. For example you can make the sidewalk part of your property. To turn off map editor type "Map_edit Off" into the cheat box
Quit A pretty simple code that just quits the game and closes everything. It is an easy way to get out of the program.
refresh_textures Rematch dependent textures and regenerate bitmaps for all user characters and objects.
save A quick way to save the game without leaving live mode. You can type save in the cheat code box to save the game quickly.
draw_routes on The selected Sim's path will be displayed so you can see how they are going to get to a place. To turn off the paths type "draw_routes off " in the cheat code box.
autonomy
(1-100) Type autonomy followed by a number from one to one-hundred to set the "free will" level of your sims. By typing in autonomy 100 you sims will be totaly independent, but if you type autonomy 1 your sims will not do anything unless you tell them to.
all_menus Type this code to get a toggle display of all unavailable interactions in person control menus.
html Type this code will toggle the families web page creation.

Nessie Type this code while on the neighborhood screen, and watch the water! This code only works with Unleashed.

The Sims Console
Here are cheat codes for the sims for PlayStation 2, XBox, & GameCube. To enter the codes first Press L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 while at the main menu and enter this cheat in the block. Please note that all these cheats have been tried and they all work, but sometime you may need to go in the Get A Life (Dream House) and than return to the main screen to make the cheats fully work.
MIDAS Unlock all 2 player games, all locked object,s and all locked skin.
FREEALL All objects cost only 0 Simoleans. Everything is FREE!
PARTY M Unlock Party Motel two-player game.
SIMS Unlock the Play The Sims mode without going through the Get A Life dream house. This is useful for players without memory cards, who would otherwise need to play through the Dream Douse each time.
FISH EYES Make sure you put in a space. Enter the game and remove the walls, then press the wall toggle button again, and it'll change to a 1st person view!
